Data & Low-Voltage

Data & Low-Voltage Wiring in Calgary

Wi-Fi is convenient until it isn’t. Anything that matters — a home office, a camera system, a television you don’t want buffering — is better on a cable.

What to expect

  1. We work out what needs a cable.

Not everything does. We’ll say so.

  2. We plan the runs.

We plan the runs to avoid interference and to keep future access possible.

  3. We install and terminate properly.

We test each run rather than assuming it works.

  4. We label both ends.

Whoever works on it next — including us — will need that.

RELIABLE CONNECTIONS FOR EVERY SPACE.

Questions we get asked

Do I really need wired network if I have good Wi-Fi?

For phones and tablets, no. For a desk you work at every day, a television, or cameras, a cable removes an entire category of problem.

Can you run cable in a finished house?

Usually. It depends on the route and what’s in the walls. We’ll tell you what’s practical before quoting.

Can you install cameras I’ve already bought?

Yes. We’ll tell you honestly if what you’ve bought won’t do what you want.

Should this be done during a renovation?

Absolutely. Low-voltage runs cost very little while walls are open and are the most commonly forgotten item on a renovation list.
