Electrical work in Panorama Hills

Panorama Hills is the largest community in Calgary, and it wasn’t built all at once. Development ran from the late 1990s well into the 2010s, and that single fact explains most of what we find here.

Which phase your street is in decides what your house needs.

The earliest sections are now approaching thirty years old. Those homes were typically built with 100-amp services, which was generous at the time and is tight today — particularly once a hot tub, air conditioning or an EV charger enters the conversation. Original panels are reaching the age where we start looking at them properly rather than glancing.

The later sections, built through the 2000s and 2010s, generally came with more capacity. The work there is rarely about fixing what’s failing and usually about adding what wasn’t anticipated — chargers, basement circuits, better lighting than the builder installed.

What that means practically: we don’t quote Panorama Hills from a template. We ask when the house was built, and often that answer alone tells us whether you’re looking at an upgrade or an addition.
